Creepy Little Girls

Though they're not branded as baby goths, these little girls do make fans out of us with their Gothic little ways.

Mandy from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Mandy, along with Billy, owns the Grim Reaper after winning in a limbo game. He serves them as their best friend forever. As for Mandy, she abuses him with mundane chores and other selfish whims. She's truly cold, cynical, hateful and hostile. She wants to rule the world, or for everyone to just disappear. She never smiles, or if she does, it would tear the fabric of reality. Her "best friend" is Billy, though she treats him like a monkey, and cares less about his safety nor his mental health. And like other Goth characters, she is pestered by a nerdy admirer, Irwin.
.
Gaz from Invader Zim. Gaz is Dib's scary little sister. She has a penchant for video games and a fixation with pizza and piggies. When someone stand in the way of her getting those things, she won't hesitate to thrust them into "a nightmare world from which there is no awakening." She knows that Zim is an alien, but doesn't care because she thinks he's too stupid to take over the world anyway. Although possibly the only smart character in the show, Gaz has shown some obvious signs of insanity. She's really cute when her eyes open wide. Her outfit is similar to Pepito, the son of Satan, from Jhonen Vasquez's Squee!.
.
Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family. The infamous family of creepy and grim relatives. They have two animated series, 1973 and 1992. The picture is from the earlier series, while in the 90's, Wednesday is wearing a dark blue dress. Unlike in the films, where she is portrayed by Christina Ricci, the cartoon Wendesday Addams is much sweeter and chipper, but still she loves death and the macabre, and enjoys torturing her brother Pugsley amicably. She has pet spiders and her doll is named Marie Antoinette whose head is already guillotined. Her name is based on the nursery rhyme "Wednesday's child is full of woe."
.
Ruby Gloom from Ruby Gloom. Like Emily the Strange and Pucca, she's from an apparel franchise and made into an animated series. Ruby is indeed what we call Perky Goth, earning her the title of "The Happiest Girl in the World". She is a girl who can find happiness in anything, even the Dark. Her positive attitude has been shown to be helpful, as it allows Ruby to act as the voice of reason in the mansion, while her friends tend to loose focus on real issues. She also likes to have quiet time to write in her diary, fawn over Skull Boy, and sew with Doom Kitty.
.
Lenore from Lenore, the Cute Little Dead Girl. Created by Roman Dirge, Lenore is inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's famous poem. Lenore died young of pneumonia but she came back to life to play and kill. She lives in an eerie mansion in the town of Nevermore with her creepy friends, like the cursed vampire ragdoll, Ragamuffin. Lenore gives dark macabre twists to cute innocent themes, like nursery rhymes, and most of the humor is very graphic and gruesome. While Lenore's actions often result in chaos and death, she is not a malicious character and is quite naive. Unless, one crosses her.
.
Charlene from Victor and Valentino. The series follows the titular brothers in Monte Macabre, a small and mysterious town, where the myths and legends of Latin American folklore come to life. They often fall into Charlene's mischief with the supernatural, aided by her big but softy brother, Pineapple. She actually has a crush on Vic, and once tricks him on a date in a haunted house. She applies dark eyeliner and nail polish, and despite her room's pink palette, she keeps in there her grandfather's obsidian mirror, a black jaguar pelt, and apparently, posters of human anatomy. Thanks to Paige-ge.
.
Desdemona from Desdemona. It's a series of short silent cartoons beautifully animated in Flash. It's the story of a spooky girl named Desdemona and her failed romances. She has evil powers that seem to have a mind of their own, unleashing themselves at the most inconvenient of times on unsuspecting victims, especially the ill-fated, lovesick Simon - a boy who never seems to tire of trying to win Desdemona's heart. She usually waits at a bus stop by a gloomy park, where Simon woos her with his charm and chivalry. He then would suffer from her jinx, like getting run over a bus when he tries to kiss her.
.
Gruftine/Gothetta from School For Vampires. Though the show is popular in Europe, it's stuck in the dark; so little is known about it. It's obviously about a school for young vampires. The character designs are amazing, and the setting and plot is like that of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Gruftine is one of the main characters and her English name is Gothetta. She has a preppy Gothic personality, and is the brains of the group with a knowledge of botany.
.
Shareena Wickett from Detention. Another short-lived 90's show about a bunch of kids with different personalities who ends up in detention, because they just want to make merry and mischief. Shareena is considered their leader against Miss Eugenia Kisskillya, the PE teacher and former military sergeant. She is not scared of standing up for herself, and in getting what she wants. She's sometimes sarcastic, moody and rude, and even manipulates other children to rebel with her. She hates pink, and once releases moths to eat the pink dress her cheerful mom bought for her.

    1. Not really Goth. She's just a cute, adorable young mummy. Just because someone is a monster (literally) doesn't make them Goth. It's the personality and love for dark things that typically identifies one as a Goth more so than species or looks.

  5. oh, i thought of someone else: from Sofia the first, a Disney Junior show: Princess Vivian, she has a pet dragon, and she´s kind of goth i think, or maybe not to much, just a bit, haha.

  7. Well duh, Mandy's no Goth, she has a dark, cynical and merciless personality. Here's why:

In Toadblatt's School of Sorcery, she hates the Happy Girls Fun Camp of Joy and Niceness.
In Five-O-Clock Shadows, she hates her happy personality and unicorns.
In Chaos Theory, again, she hates unicorns.
In Scary Poppins, she listens to Goth metal and she first mentioned Goth metal.
In Pandora's Lunch Box, it is revealed that she hates everything and new kids.
In The Bubble with Billy, she hates Billy. (well duh)

I drew Mandy as a Goth girl.

    1. In short, she "tolerates" Billy, frightens her well-meaning parents, forces Grim into servitude, crushes Irwin's heart into pieces, out-evils Nergal and his son Nergal Jr., and in general, hates anything remotely nice and cannot stand not being the supreme overlord of Endsville. But, the fact that she enjoys goth metal and has such a dark personality is why she's often labeled a Goth by many fans of the Goth community.

  10. Lucy Loud would make a good addition to this page - she's the stereotypical goth girl from "The Loud House" cartoon series.
