Cartoons have become more progressive in this new wave of Western animation. Craig of the Creek has Tabitha and Courtney, a pair of Gothic girlfriends, whom the kids strongly believe are witches, because of their Tarot cards and meetings of the "Midnight Republic". But they are just outsider teens who hang out, and talk about their days and troubles.
